How the Xbox 360 and PS3 bring rock bands to your front room

For those who want to close their eyes and imagine they are playing along with some of the greatest rock bands of all times such as the Beatles or Queen, the Xbox 360 and PS3 rock band games can help you slide into the band as the star drummer.

Of course, the best part is that you do not have to change out of your pyjamas to play in the largest rock bands of all time; you simply have to plug an electric drum kit into the gaming console and close your eyes.

One of the best parts of both the Xbox and PS3 is the fact that you can play along with an electronic drum kit in the same manner as you would a full drum set at a tiny fraction of the cost. In fact, an entire drum kit costs less than one real symbol, which is a small price to pay for hours of drumming along to your favourite songs. Of course, even better is the fact that you can also use the same kit while not playing the games to create your own rhythms and beats like some of the greatest drummers of all time.

While you are not using the electronic drum kit to play along with one of the popular Xbox 360 and PS3 games, you can also drum away to your own beat, tapping out any rhythm that you like. Even better, if you want to learn some new rhythms but are a little hesitant to start out on your own, most drum kits come with a couple hundred pre-recorded drum beats.

You also may enjoy different sounds that you can program into your drums to create a new set of beats. Of course, the best part of using one of the Xbox or PS3 drum kits is that you can also use them with headphones so that you can play in your living room at any time that you like without upsetting the neighbours.

For the times that you want to hear some old fashioned drumming you can also plug your kit into the computer via a USB and broadcast your drumming skills through your sound system, or transfer them to the internet. Thus, you can truly have everything feeling the same way that a rock band drummer does when you use the Xbox 360 of PS3.
